tiny victories

February 2, 2009

In honor of Groundhog Day (because I’m not sure how else one celebrates), I am giving thanks for the following things that have changed since I stopped chemo.

when I blow my nose, chunks o blood do not come out

no longer need gloves to reach in the fridge

my hair has grown enough to warrent a hair cut

I have the a-ok to dye my Bonnie Raitt grey streak

can walk up my stairs without breathing like Dareth Vader

no need to hang out with pot dealers

my feet dont look like a leper’s

spend less money on concealer for those dark circles

able to stand barefoot on bathroom floor

only need Compazine for hangovers
